Mapuana Schneider is an inspired artist who paints with her passion and her lifelong love of hula and Hawai'i. An accomplished hula dancer, she entertained for two decades as a solo hula dancer in Waikiki with the legendary Kahauanu Lake Trio.

She is also well known in the hospitality industry for her work managing and eventually becoming a partner of the successful Hawaiiana Hotel on Beachwalk Avenue in Waikiki.

After leaving the hotel industry, she started a wine distribution business called Fine Wine Imports, and in her most recent incarnation, Mapuana has discovered her talent in watercolors. Since beginning her painting studies in the early 1990's, Mapuana has never looked back.

Mapuana's work has been featured on Wine labels and in restaurants, her largest piece being a 7 ft. by 12 ft. acrylic canvas triptych that hangs in Roy's Restaurant of San Francisco.
